To Whom It May Concern:
Thad the opportunity to work with Patricia Kelley during the 2014 fall
semester, serving as her residency supervisor in ECED 4780. I observed her
teach a number of subjects and classroom routines. Ms. Kelley served in a
first grade classroom in the Kingsport City Schools as part of the course.
Ms. Kelley was a very dedicated and talented teacher candidate. She
successfully created and implemented child-centered lessons. Tricia
applied her enthusiasm and high energy to provide an effective constructivist
approach in the classroom, emphasizing active learning. She respects
students’ opinions and encourages them to share their thinking with others.
Her mentor teacher commented that Tricia displays the abilities of a
seasoned teacher in regard to initiative, dependability and work ethic.
Tricia will be an asset to any school. Her professionalism and sincere
enthusiasm will contribute to her effectiveness in the classroom. If you have
any further questions, please call me. I would be happy to speak with you.
Sincerely,
Erin G. Sherlin
