Changes to Heroic Bosses compared to Normal for

Nighthold
Disclaimer This guide is for melee DPS only and is not in any way responsible if
you happen to fall into the water on Krosus. The water is fine and always will be
fine but it is not fit for non-demon consumption.

Skropyron
- There are no changes, it is essentially just more damage.
- Avoid focusing blast and thats it. Also ensure that you get shockwaved
into the wall that you are cheesing the adds (usually the area where the
scorps spawn from.)
- Just incase your tank is slow at picking up the adds, always keep blur or
any damage mitigating/threat reducing handy
o If youre a warrior like me, enjoy getting 9 stacks of the arcane
debuff. LUL

Chromatic Anomaly
- The boss literally does more damage and the Warp Nightwell casts for the
big adds is reduced from 5 secs to 4 secs.
o To proc sephuz in this fight, either stun the little adds (after biggie
dies) or interrupt biggie.
- If you get a debuff called Time Bomb, make sure you run that shit out
before it expires because it actually hurts on heroic.
o Just saves from healers seeling WallinXD and immediately wanting
to stab them with multiple knives.

Trilliax (KappaPride)
- This boss is not Swedish and his master was not Trill. (They still have their
masters hands in a jar though.)
- The main change is that when you eat a Toxic Slice or Feast (during
caretaker), you gained a debuff called Stuffed which means you move
slower and cannot take another toxic slice or feast until you expire
o If you soak the 2nd set in Yellow (Normal Phase) or 1st set in Maniac
phase, you will
- If you see a bot casting Cleansing Destruction or whatever, Jump on it with
blur or any damage reduction CD to avoid the raid taking 2 mill in
damage.
o If you have nothing and the raid is like half dead and the boss is
almost dead. Sacrifice yourself and jump on it. It is likely that youre
the lowest dps (sorry and it will save the raid and potentially
salvage a kill).
- REMEMBER THAT THE ANNIHILATION (the fucking huge laser bear)
CAN CHANGE DIRECTION MID-CAST MULTIPLE TIMES, SO STAY IN
THE MIDDLE OF BOTH SIDES. So if the beam is north/south, you
want to be on west or east.
- You cannot proc Sephuz on this boss unless the bots are stunnable, if so
stun them.
Spellblade Auriel
- The adds actually do stuff now instead of being tank and spank.
o Frost Adds turn big and cast frozen tempest, make sure that you
stay within the ice circle but this shouldnt be a big of an issue
because you should be firmly on the big add aoeing shit down. If
you reach the edge of the circle, you turn into an ice block. The ice
block is killable and has no hp but the dps loss!!!!!!
o Fire Adds (stunnable) Fire adds cast pyroblast, interrupt them to
proc Sephuz. They also do a pulsing fire AOE so do not be in
between 2-3 fire adds otherwise their AOE will kill you.
o Arcane Adds (not stunnable) Arcane adds channel a move called
Armageddon which after 30 seconds does 1.5 mill damage to
everyone and knocks them back. During the detonate phase,
everyone will stack up to ensure that all the arcane puddles are
within the same area so you can aoe it down.
- Mark of Frost and Fire
o Clear frost at 7 stack of frostbitten look for who else has mark of
frost with you when it is applied. If you have DBM, itll tell you.
Your raid will likely have a marker where you clean Mark of
Frost
o Remember with Detonate for Fire/Frost, you want to be out of Melee
before it occurs. DBM will tell you about Fire but wont tell you about
frost (it has times though)

Krosus
- This fight is more damage essentially.
o The only thing that can proc Sephuz is the adds that spawn from the
fire zones that you need to soak. You can interrupt their cast to proc
it.
- Dont fall into the fucking water or stand in the slam zones or forget when
the bridge breaks <3
- Just remember to count the slams, every 3rd slam, you need to start
moving (DBM has a timer for bridge break)

Tichondrius
- There is a new debuff called Brand of the Legion if you get it in melee,
itll blow up on you immediately. Overall, dont worry about it, ranged will
move it in.
- With the carrion plague, make sure you melee from the marked area for
Plague
o When dpsing Blood/Normal Adds with Plague, make sure you wait
for seeker swam to be cast before you move out. (This is only if they
dont cleave them with Tich)
o Also, dont stack on other melee and look out for ranged behind
you, 5+ seeker swarms can kill dps.
- The shield Nightfallen adds are stunnable use to proc Sephuz.

Star Augur Etreaus

- Star Augur has new abilities on all 3 phases, your raid will have 3 areas
like a triangle, youll be likely either:
o Behind right or left on Frost
o In melee range, moving around if anyone drops felblaze near you or
if the tank is cleaning up Fel
With felblaze, the DOT applications stack so if youre in it,
move out immediately.
o Behind Star Augur in Void Phase and move to the add when it
spawns
- The new 3 abilities are
o Frost Nova Just stand in your group, if youre out because of frozen
injection, use Blur (basically it does more damage based on how far
you are from the neartest person
o Fel Nova Position yourself to an area where you can run to the
edge without running into felblaze, when it starts casting, use fel
rush and get to the edge as soon as possible then leap/charge back
in.
Essentially, it does more damage the closer you are to the
boss. If you have immunities you can use it for fel nova.
o Void Nova It does nothing, just DPS boss then the add then zerg
the boss, ignore 2nd add, your guild should HAVE ENOUGH DPS to do
this otherwise your dps is worse than most pugs which I severely
doubt
Voidlings are stunnable this will proc Sepuhz
- Also, with all bosses, his shit does more damage.

High Botanist Telarn

- This bosss trash is equally as annoying as the boss
- Parasitic Fetter spawns 2 adds instead of one, They fixate immediately so
if youre not fixated go out there and slow/stun/dps them. The stun will
proc Sephuz.
o Make sure you do not have Fixate before fel rushing out there
otherwise youll spawn more adds. DBM will alert you if youre
fixated.
- With Flame Spheres (Phase 2), there are two strategies:
o Some guilds keep the boss on a marker and kill that sphere first
then assign one for ranged.
o The other one is that they move the boss around and announce
which orb ranged kills.
- For Phase 3 if you have call of night, stand on someone who doesnt
have it. Otherwise, keep doing the strategy from P2/Killing Adds as per
usual.
- If youre not used to the entire fight because it can be very hectic. Practice
on Normal/LFR
- Remember that when P2 and P3 hits, you need to start cleaving to up DPS.
- Remember to get out of solar collapses quickly and fit between the
spaces.

Grand Magistrix Elisande (Eli for short)

- With the Eli fight remember that everything will spawn exactly as it did in
previous phase other than the red adds.
o So if the blue add spawns in the west, it will spawn in the west for
P2 and P3.
- The main change is that Eli will produce an Echo every time she casts
Arcanetic Rings and the Orbs.
o These echoes will cast the same spell in the same areas/pattern so
if the rings are anti-clockwise and merge into the south east they
will cast the same pattern in EVERY SINGLE PHASE including
phase 2 and phase 3 (Essentially remember that Time is a
flat circle, the things we do now, we will do over again
drwDerp)
You are likely going to get 1-2 sets of rings with the 2 nd set of
rings, you will need to ensure that you end up behind the
slow orb before the 2nd rings get out (Your guild will likely
bloodlust 1st phase for this reason)
If not, you can always use fel rush or other movement
cds to rotate around the Slow sphere and get behind it
before the 2nd set gets out.
o This means you will be dealing with rings and orbs for Phase 2 and 3
o With Orbs, only soak with Blur IF they are in melee range or you can
see a ranged one that wont be soaked.
- DPS Tips Make sure you refresh the speed buff. You can only refresh it
when it expires so pretty much be ready to re-apply as it has 1-2 seconds
left.
o The blue adds blast and Elis Ablative Pulse is interruptible which
will proc Sephuz.

Guldan
- Guldan starts the same as normal with spawning the 3 adds (fel lord,
inquisitor and soul lord). The main change is in P2 and P3.
o In P1, use Time Dilation when the 2nd add comes out and focus on it
while cleaving the others. You will also need to watch that the Fel
Beam isnt going to hit you (u can check where Guldan is and if u
see the two flame globes facing you, move out of that area quickly.
o Also, the adds have huge fucking hitboxes so even if they are in the
beam, at max melee range, youll be able to still hit them.
- Phase 2, the main change is that Guldan will cast Hand of Guldan which
will spawn a dread lord.
o This dreadlord has 2 abilities, an interruptible called Carrion Swarm
which MUST be interrupted or half the raid will go to sleep.
Your guild will have a set rotation for this. If you tell them that
you have Sephuz and they let you interrupt. This will proc
Sephuz and this is the ONLY WAY you can proc Sephuz
in this fight.
nd
o The 2 ability is that if it is interrupted, the dreadlord increases his
attack speed and damage by 20% per stack.
- With Phase 2, your dps priority should be Eyes > Help Break Bonds (if
needed) > Dreadlord > Guldan
o At one point in the fight, there will be a bonds 2 seconds after the
eyes spawn, make sure you are still behind Guldan when the eyes
spawn.
o When the eyes spawn, pop time dilation as soon as its up and use
all AOE cds on them.
- If you get Bonds in P2, you should use blur and announce that you are
using immunities in voice by saying Dont soak WallinXDs, using Blur
- In the transition to P2/P3, if you have Time Dilation that is off cooldown,
use it before the wind occurs to have a mini-bloodlust on Guldan for 6-10
seconds
- In P3, the moment you get flame of sargeras move it to left/right
(depending on their strategy) and make a little circle.
o Remember that the debuff lasts 3 seconds then you start spawning
1 fire zone every 0.75 seconds over 3 seconds.
o Essentially, you will spawn 4 flame pools and you will want to make
your flame pools in a little circle and not in a fucking line
- After you kill the empowered eye in P3, immediately go into the well of
souls and soak souls. If there are no white circle things swirling in the well
of souls (centre of the room) then keep dpsing the boss
- When Guldan uses black harvest for the 2 nd-3rd time, prepare to use
personal cds as generally there are flame of Sargeras and other mechanics
happening at the same time.
- When Guldan uses storm of the destroyer, run to the opposite side of the
platform and get ready to place Flames of Sargeras if needed.

Bosses that you should coin (according to your BIS list on MMO-
champ/IcyVeins)
- Priority (if you have only 3)
o Guldan for Draught of Souls, Ring of Scoured Clan, Tier Legs,
Belt
With draught of souls, you will need to ask some of the
DHs how they use it. Generally, they use it when they
pop their %damage CDs
According to icy veins, an eye of command at 895
and unstable arcanocrystal at 895 are better
which is unlikely for you to get unless you farm
m10+ Karas for Eye and get lucky with withered
jim on Arcano
o Eli for Convergence of Fates and Tier Helm
o Krosus for Tier Chest/BIS Fel Relic (if using Bloodlet) and
Neck/Botanist for Trinket/Boots
- Secondary (If you have 6)
o Spellblade for Gloves/Ring
o Trillax for Tier Cape
o Augur for non-tier shoulders (better that Tier Shoulders)
o Tich for Tier Shoulders/BIS Shadow Relic (if needed but you
have Legendary)
