Dear Review Board Members:

My name is Nya Fleming. As a student here at Harding University High School, the
Graduation Project has provided me the opportunity to learn about my topic I long wanted to
know more about, but just had not taken the time to explore in depth. I chose to research and
understand Abortion. I decided to research this topic because i wanted to know why some
women would have an abortion. I love little babies and I just didn't understand why women
would want to kill them. But doing this research I learned so many things about why women
have abortions. I never been against abortions but I wouldn't have recommended a women to
have one.
Even though some people believe abortion should be illegal, abortions should be a
womans choice because women have a right to make decisions regarding their bodies. Women
have abortions for many reasons. Some women can't afford babies, they just wasn't ready for a
baby at the time, they have relationship issues or have lack of maturity and the lost goes on. It's
a womans right to decide whether or not she will carry a pregnancy to term, women should
decide in the light of her own moral beliefs and personal situations.

This product was an extension of my research-based paper because I applied what I

learned while researching by asking women about their experience on having an abortion. I
researched what others around the world opinion on abortions was. I interviewed some women
who has had abortion and some women have told that they do have regrets but they said it was
the best decision at the time.

Working on this project has deepened my understanding of the reason why women have
abortions. This experience has also raised my level of conscious about my choice of being
against or for abortions. My senior year has taught me many things that will impact the rest of
my life. I have considered this project to be one of the major things that will influence me in my
future.

Thank you very much for taking time out to meet with me and discuss my topic. I hope
you enjoyed my presentation and it could cause you to reflect on how other people look at
abortions and what others who has had an abortion feels. Thanks once again for your time and
