This presentation is an analysis of possible social barriers faced by many individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as
other disabilities, Such barriers may include difficulties finding and holding a job or making friends. These barriers are
analyzed and potential solutions are also pravided. Come join us as the presenter shows how ta "kick down" social
harriers from the perspective of a special education teacher and self advocate.
Helping All Students Succeed in Math (PreK-s')

The goal of this session is ta inspire and equip educators to provide all students access to high levels of mathematics
through instruction designed to promote multiple opportunities for success. This is in accordance with state and federal
expectations that all students are exposed to grade level standards and the vast majority participate in grade level state
assessments. This session will focus on the best research-based techniques teachers can employ to help any struggling
student, particularly those with disabilities, become successful in mathematics at their grade level, We will discuss best
practices for differentiating instruction, incorporating manipulatives, utilizing engaging apps, and modifying curriculum in
intentional ways (to align with IEP goals), We will provide examples of these research-based instructional practices and
activities aligned to key target standards at various grade levels,
