Helping All Students Succeed in Math (6"-High School) Room: Room A Time: 12:15 pm Presenter; Harold Campbell and Amy McDonald ‘The goul of this session is to inspire and equip educators to provide all students access to high levels of mathematics through instruction designed to promote multiple opportunities for success. ‘This is in accordance with state and federal expectations that all students are exposed ta grade level standards and the vast majority participate in grade level state assessments, This session will facus on the best research-based techniques teachers can employ to help any struggling students, and particularly those with disabilities, become sucecssful in mathematics at their grade level, We will discuss best practices for differentiating instruction, incorporating manipulatives, utilizing engaging apps, and modifying curriculum in intentional ways (to align with IEP goals). We will provide examples of these research-based instructional practices and activities aligned to key target standards at various grade levels. Inclusive Methods to Support Speech and Language Development at School Room: Conference 2 Time: 1:45 pm Presenter: Tara Weber Presenting methods that General Education teachers can use within the classroom, Sharing ideas, methods and techniques that support oral motor control, language development and positive socia’ communication. Explore simple techniques that can make a world of difference in individual students.
