Brianna demonstrated a signi cant increase in her understanding of the role of Occupational Therapy in inpatient acute psychiatry. She also
showed excellent skill in establishing collaborative relationships with patient and colleagues, re ecting the core values of Occupational
Therapy. She also made substantial improvements in educating patients and staff regarding the role and values of Occupational Therapy.

Brianna utilized initial evaluations, standardized assessment such as the Allen Cognitive Levels Screen ACLS) and the Occupational Therapy
Assessment of Performance and Support (OTAPS), and multiple sources to obtain patient data. She demonstrated signi cant improvement in
interpreting the collected data and effectively utilized this information to provide patient-centered treatment interventions. She also showed skill
in identifying patients strengths to facilitate progress in treatment.

Briannas effective communication with patients and colleagues is one of her major strengths. Showed maturity in her interactions and
increased assertiveness when voicing clinical observations and concerns to the multidisciplinary treatment teams. Her documentation was

Brianna consistently provided a positive representation of Occupational Therapy through exceptional professional behavior. She routinely
demonstrated reliability, competence, and an eagerness to learn. She developed a high level of autonomy, but continues to utilize feedback
effectively. She showed outstanding time management skills. Brianna consistently showed a strong sense of empathy and respect, which was
pervasive in her work.

SUMMARY COMMENTS:

(ADDRESS STUDENT"S OVERALL CLINICAL COMPETENCE)

Brianna successfully completed a 12 week Level II a liation on our locked acute adult psychiatric unit. She completed an average of 1-2 initial
evaluations per day. She facilitated or co-facilitated an average of 8-10 groups per week including: psychoeducation, sensory modulation, yoga,
and structured and therapeutic activities. She also collaborated in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, presented a case study,
participated in student discussions, and implemented individualized treatment interventions. Brianna is an exceptional student, and was a
pleasure to supervise. Her strong sense of professionalism, respect, and empathy was pervasive in her work. Among her many attributes are
intelligence, reliability, exibility, good observational skills, diligence, and a solid work ethic. Her consistent utilization of these skills was
re ected in her strong performance in evaluation and treatment implementation. She demonstrated a strong sense of empathy and
compassion which enabled her to build positive rapport with patients and colleagues. Brianna's motivation, time management skills, and ability
to learn new skills quickly enabled her to provide clear, and thorough clinical documentation. Most notable, Brianna consistently demonstrated a
positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn and grow as a therapist. These attributes, as well as initiative and autonomy, will serve her well. She
will be a valuable asset to any treatment team.
