Dear Parents,

Over the past couple of months, we have been working with your
children and investigating the topic of sound with them. We created
four different learning experiences to help teach your children several
aspects of sound including the different qualities of sound and how it
can be found in our environment and everyday lives. Throughout the
learning experiences, we were able to see your children grow and
develop more knowledge about sound as they participated in the
different experiences. Our first experience involved using glasses filled
with different levels of water and having the children tap each glass
with a spoon. They were able to experiment with the different sounds
that could be created and enjoyed seeing the different volumes sound
has. For the second experience, the children shook different shakers
and observed what different sounds they could produce and at what
volume. Next, we went on a nature walk to see what sounds we could
find in our environment. Lastly, we listened to a song and made sound
with our bodies! It was a great opportunity to work with your children
to help us become future teachers!

Thank you!
