Sunday, March 13, 2086 To Whom it May Concem, It is with pleasure that I write a better of reference for Reagan Johnson for the position of Elementary Fducation teacher. Reagan has been part of our 4® grade team at Liberty Elementary for 10 years. She is a vibrant, smtart, conscientious member of our team who brings te the table ideas and a great sense of humor, She is truly a teacher al heart! Reagan does a fabulous job analyzing data and this is her strength. Her lessons are aligned to the common core, involve hands-on activities/technology, readily utilize student data, and are well time-managed. She loves to try new things and sce how to best meet her students’ needs, This year for instance, she moved all her instruction into small group rotations, This has allowed her to really hone in on the skills students nced, keep up with data, as well as, document growth. Her classroom, reflects her passion for teaching because it is always a busy place that is student-centered and focused. She wants to empower students and sec results. Reagan is always prepared for each day and puts in numerous hours both before and after school to plan lessons, communicate with parents, and reflect on lessons and classroom management with her team. She is always eager to talk about the art of teaching, how best to improve what she is doing within the classroom, and how to approach new and different situations with parents, student behavior, lesson ideas, o school-wide programs. She doesn't shy away from honest reflection and is the first one to make notes on how to improve ot refine an idea for the future. Reagan expects from herself what she expects from her students. Reagan not only bbrings reflective teaching experience to her position, but she also brings friendship and fun. She is a joy to know as a person and is a cherished member of our team. While we understand that new district lines are causing this team change, it is with a heavy heart that we ‘even entertain this thought. In hiring Reagan, you gain the whole package. She is insightful, manages her classroom with a compassionate heart, and works hard to make meaningful connections with her students, Reagan is a teacher who grasps all facets of the profession and works hard to perfect and continue learning her craft!
