As Coordinator of Elementary Student Teaching at the University of Kentucky, | have worked very closely with Mrs. Johnson over the past two years. In my position, lam able to not only work with teachers to mentor our students, but | become very familiar with the teaching style and philosophies of these cooperating teachers. Mrs. Johnson has a gift for teaching that has been such a blessing to the student teachers placed in her classroom. For the past two years she has taught the collaborative fourth grade classroom with a vast range f differentiation required. Not only does she model outstanding teaching practices, she also teaches © students the gift of getting to know each and every child individually. She is a master teacher when it et to developing relationships with every child in her class; something that is imperative my student Mrs. Johnson is eager to work with UK and is willing to work with students at any d op: the program. She doesn’t care if we send her a pre practicum student, a practicum sti teachers, She has also willingly hosted COST students who are going overseas but 1 locally first.
