Constitutional Convention

Objective:
- VUS. 5

Review:
- Review the Founding Fathers
- Review the Constitutional Convention

Lecture:
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of the creation of The Declaration of
Independence
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of the Constitutional Convention
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of Independence Hall
- Students will demonstrate knowledge of The Virginia Declaration of Rights and
the Virginia Statute of Religious Freedom
Activity:
- SOL Vocabulary 11.4
- Computer Activity. Teachingamericanhistory.org Students will use the
chromebooks to answer the questions about the Constitutional Convention
- Computer Activity. Who wants to marry a founding father Students will take the
survey and it will pair them with the man of their dreams ( a founding father) Then the
students will share with the class
Assessment:
- Quiz 11.4
- Turn in worksheet
Closure:
- Test tomorrow.

Reflection:
- The students really seemed to enjoy this lesson. Mainly because they were
working on something other than a piece of paper or taking notes. The students seemed
interested and dialed in the the worksheet and computer activity. I did not have to call
the students down for being off topic. However, I did have to quiet them from laughing at
the Man of their dreams.
