INT. BATHROOM - EARLY EVENING
Woman slowly walks into bathroom, turns off bathtub water,
drops robe and lowers herself into the tub. The camera pans
from the tub around the bathroom to male work boots standing
at the threshold of the bathroom. Camera pans up on male body
to his solemn face.
FADE TO: FLASHBACK

BEGIN FLASHBACK:

INT. ON THE BEACH - SUMMER DAY

From the mans point of view the scene opens to a shot of the
women on the beach in shorts and a tank top talking with four
other women. He begins to walk towards the women and the four
friends see him approaching so they walk away.
TY
Hey, I'm Ty
CORDELIA
Hi, Cordelia
TY
I see your drink is getting low,
could I get you another?

CORDELIA
I suppose you can do that
They turn around and begin walking towards the bar.
FADE OUT.

END FLASHBACK.

INT. BATHROOM CONTINUOUS - EARLY EVENING

Camera shot is from over TY'S shoulder where he is standing
in the doorway, the camera then moves to her fingers on the
porcelain tub and slowly pans up her arm. The shot then cuts
back to his rigid but sad face.
FADE TO:FLASHBACK

BEGIN FLASHBACK:

INT. PARK WITH WALKING PATH - FALL MIDDAY

Scene opens with shot of mans hand on picnic basket and pans
up to Cordelia getting out of the pickup with Ty's help. They
walk hand in hand down a walking path between tree rows, the
leaves are falling and they walk for awhile and murmur a
conversation to each other. They arrive at a picnic table and
begin to unpack the picnic basket, as Ty is getting out the
plates Cordelia waves at a small family, on the walking path
after the child waved at her...
TY
Why do you always have to do that?
CORDELIA
Do what?

TY
Give your attention to other
people, I brought you out here for
a nice meal and to get away but
still you focus more on other
people than me!
CORDELIA
Ty, I was just being polite to the
family. I am focused on you, I am
sorry.

Ty seems to calm down but mumbles under his breath. CORDELIA

grabs a sandwich and takes a bite.
CORDELIA (CONTD)
This is very good, thank you.
They sit and enjoy the food.
FADE OUT.

END FLASHBACK.

INT. BATHROOM CONTINUOUS -EARLY EVENING

The shot opens with Cordelia in the bathtub, she leans

forward to grab some soap off of the shelf and as she leans
her hair falls into the water. She gathers up her hair and
twists it into a bun revealing bruises on her back and
shoulders.

The camera changes to Ty walking from the doorway slowly and

quietly into the middle of the bathroom and stops, the camera
rest on his face and he looks worried and mortified.
FADE TO: FLASHBACK

BEGIN FLASHBACK:

INT. KITCHEN/DINING AREA - WINTER DAY BEFORE DARK

Cordelia is at the stove getting a casserole out of the oven,
she walks it over to the already set table and as she reaches
to set down the food a DOOR SLAMS, LOUD FOOTSTEPS START
TOWARDS THE KITCHEN. Cordelia finishes putting down the food
and stands next to the table with a frozen smile on her face
as she sees Ty...
CORDELIA
Welcome home, how was your day?
TY
Cut the crap, where were you today?
CORDELIA
Well, I went to the store and got
some groceries. Other than that I
was at home.

Ty begins walking close to Cordelia.

TY
Then why was the car parked outside
of Jo Millers house!
CORDELIA
I was there seeing Lucy Miller, we
were planning the bake sale for
church kids mission trip.
Cordelia slowly moves backwards as Ty keeps walking towards
her
TY
I don't need to hear your excuses
and lies.
He lashes out to grab her, she turns away and he grabs her
around the neck and hits her in the upper spine which brings
her to the ground. He continues to hit her as he yells...

TY (CONTD)
I have never been enough for you
have I? You parade around town like
hot shit, but time and time again
you crawl back to me after being
rejected. You tell me you are home
all day, but I know you are not,
you are a cheater and a liar and I
know I'm not jealous, despite what
everyone says, you are the issue.
You are the whore.
He hits her one last time...

END FLASHBACK.

FADE TO: BATHROOM

INT. BATHROOM CONTINUOUS - EARLY EVENING

Camera opens on Ty's boots and he walks from the middle of
the room slowly to the end of the tub, he stands behind
Cordelia. The camera focuses on Ty's hand. His hand moves
forward and rests on Cordelia's arm, she tenses for a few
seconds but the relaxes. He runs his hand up her arm and onto
her shoulder. He the wraps his fingers around her neck with
both hands and she looks up at him confused. Ty pushes
Cordelia under the water with all of the force he has, she
struggles against him for a while but eventually is still.
Her limp hand is the only thing that remains hang over the
tub. The camera focuses on the hand for a few seconds and
then shifts views from the hand up over the whole body
submerged lifeless in the tub. A single tear drop pierces the
bath water.
SLAM TO BLACK.
