HDF 190: FLITE (FIRST-YEAR LEADERS INSPIRED TO EXCELLENCE)

URI MINOR IN LEADERSHIP STUDIES, CENTER FOR STUDENT LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

CORE REQUIREMENT FOR THE LEADERSHIP MINOR

LEARNING CONTRACT

Goal: To identify and utilize my Strengths in an organizational/interpersonal setting that

aligns with the mission, vision, values and sponsored programs and activities of URIs
Center for Student Leadership Development.

Activity: I attended/participated in the Multicultural Overnight Program and had a great

time. In this program we had admitted seniors from different states come to campus for
an overnight experience. We had a lot of activities and information sessions planned for
the group from scavenger hunts, to mock videos, even speed dating. It was an enjoyable
experience and really helped us all meet new people. I specifically used my responsibility
strength and my humor character strength. Responsibility came into play when we were
taking our students around campus because they were under our supervision. I used my
humor in the different activities to keep everyone involved and interested.
