One thing that I have observed since coming to UNCC is that most of my professors are male,

but in the rest of my education years (elementary-high school) the majority of my teachers were
female. I noticed that their teaching styles and demeanor differ completely. Through this
transition, I noticed that it is sometimes harder to build a strong relationship with my male
professors rather than my female teachers I have had in the past. Lastly, I noticed that I feel more
comfortable around female teachers and I do not think it is because I am a female, but it has a lot
to do with the fact that they are more nurturing.
