What to Consider When Reading a Passage or Bible Text

1. Identify if it is a command or a story or account about something or someone

2. If it is an account find out the good and bad then make up your mind to
practice the right thing

3. If it is a bad example which you see about the character, pause for a while
and check if you too are caught-up in the same mistake
Spend some time before God in prayer to confess your sin and make
right amends with God
Make a commitment before God to continue doing the right thing
Ask God for the power to live the right way

4. If it is a promise, claim the promise, but remember that for every promise
that God makes to his children, he gives them an instruction to follow

6. Try to memorise the text or at least to keep a touching verse so that you can
share with another person even without your bible

7. Consider the commandments to obey

interpreting according to the desires of men
