One collaborative project

Abstract

In this project, I include one collaborative video me and another two students made

for EDUC 679 Language for Specific Purpose.In this video project, I worked with

another two team members on interviewing three second year TESOL and ICC

students. The interviewees talk about how they adapt to the American academic

environment as international students and compare their experiences in academic

settings between their own culture and in the US culture. Besides, they talk about the

cultural differences in time management and finally give advises to the first year and

future ICC and TESOL students on time management and strategies of adapting to a

new cultural and academic setting. This video helps me fully understanding the other

peoples difficulty when they adjust themselves to a new cultural and academic

environment. All together with my own experiences, this interview video well

illustrate peoples reactions and adaptions to a new culture and societal setting.
