1. The color is qualitative because qualitative data measures of 'types' and may be
represented by a name, symbol, or a color. It can also be viewed as a characteristic.

2. The number of candies in the bag is quantitative because, quantitative measures of
values or counts and are expressed as numbers. Quantitative data are data about numeric
variables (how many; how much; or how often).
3. The individuals being study is the color of candy and the number of skittles in the bag

I feel it is appropriate to talk about the shape of the distribution because when you look at
the histogram you can see that it is bell shape. The Typical Histogram Shapes and What
They Mean. Normal. A common pattern is the bellshaped curve known as the normal
distribution. In a normal distribution, points are as likely to occur on one side of the
average as on the other.
