Praxis Core Exam Analysis

In order for me to fully be accepted into the education department at UNLV I must pass

all sections of the Praxis exam. I will need a score of 150 to pass math, 156 to pass reading, and a

score of 162 to pass the writing portion of the test. Once I receive passing grades on each section

of the test I will be fully enrolled into the education department.

I will need to prepare better for the actual Praxis exam that I will take this summer. For

the practice exam I did not study at all, and hardly looked over the exam information before

taking it. All I did was look to see which tests I needed to take, and then started to take them. If I

study more I believe I will be able to pass all sections of the test.

In math I scored a 68%, which means I am on the borderline to pass the math portion of

the test. For the writing part I scored a 65%, which means I will need to make improvements for

the actual Praxis exam. For the reading part I did not finish the test so I scored a 21%, which

means I will need major improvements for this test.

In order to pass the official Praxis exam I will order a book to help me study off of. I will

also try to meet with a tutor to help me on anything I am having trouble with. I want to pass all

sections on the first time taking the test; so I will need to study hard. Staying focused all the way

through the test will also help me a lot.
