Project Proposal Description This project is a project about ASEAN country. Since there are many countries in ASEAN, we have focused on only 1 country which is Brunei. There will be 2 pieces of work which are the historical timeline of the country starting from after WWII until the present day, and the 3D model of an important place in Brunei. The timeline will include 15 or more important events, important people, and some interesting facts about Brunei. It will be ina form of poster paper with a theme of Islamic art. For our 3D model, it will be a model of the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, which is the symbol of 28 Sultan of Brunei. Finally, at the end of the quarter, we will also present this project to our teacher as well. Purpose The purpose of this project is to inform the audience important events and other information of Brunei focusing on its political system of absolute monarchy and being a colony of the British. The project will help people to know and understand more about Brunei, especially people who are currently living in ASEAN; since we are living in the same region association, knowing each other will help us being able to communicate and work together easier and more effective. Research Questions 1. How Brunei’s economy, which dependent on oil and natural gas, works and how it affects to the country? 2. How the political system of absolute monarchy in Brunei affects their country and also other ASEAN countries? This mind map was drawn at the beginning of the quarter when I hadn’t do a research yet. Therefore, originally, there were only 4 things that I actually knew about Brunei.Action Plan Base on dates left before the project due, the work is divided into parts as shown in the following table.
