Chi Omega Discussion Questions

1. Some of the genres Chi Omega uses are the book of rules, mission statements, and social

contracts. They fit into the genre sets because it is the group that the Chi Omega uses to

achieve its goals in the sorority. They are all things that are put out to for the people to

follow and they are identifying a large part of the work.

2. It explains activity system by explaining how the girls have to follow a text to do a

physical action. For example, the girls had to be on the GIN system so they could see

what volunteer work was going on and took keep track of their community service on a

spreadsheet.
3. She thinks its important to explore her subject because she wants us to know how large

organizations such as Chi Omega rely so much on genres to be able to function correctly.
