Dear Mr. Philip Brown

I have been informed of a nursing aide position at the hospital that will be available in the next
year. People speak very highly of the hospital, and after learning more about the position, I
believe that I am qualified and would like to be considered for the position. I have had bls
training and have taken and ROP medical technologies course in which my job site was in the
ER.

Currently I am completing my senior year at Merced High School. All of my electives courses
have been computer and foreign language classes. I have completed the computer applications
course where we used Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel. I have also finished my
third year of Spanish where we are learned the basics of the Spanish language. I plan on
becoming fluent in the language.

School activities I have participated in have given me the opportunity to work with people to
achieve group goals. Participating in sports has given me an appreciation for teamwork. Also
Participating in UC Scholars EAOP and Gateway Scholars has helped me realize the importance
of getting an education.
