ABSTRACT

THE FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH MATERNAL BEHAVIOR CARRYING A

TODDLER TO POSYANDU IN THE KELURAHAN TALANG JAUH
WORKING HEALTH CENTER SIMPANG KAWAT
JAMBI IN 2015

The Background: Posyandu is one place that is used to provide the service of growth
and development in infants where coverage child's weight in Posyandu (D / S) is an
indicator of the coverage of children under five. Many things affect the toddler's mother
visits to Posyandu, among others, maternal age, level of education, knowledge,
attitudes, and distance to neighborhood health center, family encouragement, and
encouragement of health workers.
The Objective: to determine what factors are associated with the behavior of mothers
bringing children to Posyandu in the Kelurahan Talang Jauh, working area health center
Simpang Kawat in 2015.
The Research Methods: This study uses descriptive method with cross-sectional
design. Samples in this study are all mothers who have children who are in the
kelurahan talang jauh, working area health center Simpang kawat amount 91 people.
The research data were analyzed by chi square test.
The Results: from the 91 respondents 71,4% of respondents have the behavior of the
less good and 61,5% of respondents have the knowlage of good and 76,0% have
negative attitude. The results of the test chi-square of knowledge of the attitude of the
relationship with the behavior of the mother brought toddlers to obtain the value of
p<0.05 summed up a relationship exists between the knowledge, attitudes by the
behavior of the mother brought toddlers to posyandu in kelurahan talang jauh the work
of the health center simpang kawat of jambi 2015.
Conclusion: there is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes and behavior of
mothers bringing toddler to Posyandu.
