Pasta Carbonara & Garden Salad

Ingredients:

250 grams fettuccini


15 ml canola oil
5 ml salt

4 strips bacon, chopped finely


3 cloves garlic, chopped finely
175 ml milk
100 ml parmesan cheese
3 eggs
2 ml black pepper
salt

Method:

1. Bring a stockpot full of water to the boil. Add 15 ml oil & 5 ml salt to the pan.
Cook fettuccini until al dente & drain in a colander

2. In a measuring cup combine milk, eggs, cheese, black pepper and salt. Mix well.

3. In a frying pan, cook bacon until it begins to crisp at medium heat

4. Add finely chopped garlic and cook for 1 minutes (dont overcook the garlic!)

5. Remove frying pan from heat.

6. Add the cooked fettuccini to the pan

7. Pour the milk mixture over the pasta & stir to coat the pasta and cook the
eggs in the sauce.

8. Serve with extra black pepper parmesan cheese.


Simple Buttermilk Salad Dressing

Ingredients:

4 ml dry mustard powder


10 ml rice vinegar
1 ml sugar
15 ml olive oil
40 ml buttermilk
7 ml finely chopped red onion
7 ml finely chopped dill
1/2 ml black pepper
pinch salt

Method:

1. Whisk the ingredients together

2. Serve over a mixed garden salad
