Pride Essay

As someone who had a GPA under 3.0 an accomplishment I am proud of is getting accepted

into CSU Stanislaus. It was the beginning of junior year and I needed to get better grades in order to

increase my GPA. I worked my hardest and managed to get mostly As and Bs which helped increase

my overall GPA. Working my hardest for both semesters I managed to get over a 3.0 GPA for both

semesters. During senior year I had to start preparing for the SAT and applying for colleges. I studied

weeks before and took a lot of practice questions for the SAT. The first time I took the SAT I got a 970

which was a score I wasnt proud of. I wanted to get more than 1000 so I studied even harder on the

questions that I didnt understand. Second time I took the SAT I managed to get a 1040 which I was

proud to get. After getting my SAT scores back I started to apply for CSU Stanislaus. With an overall

GPA of 2.7 and decent SAT score my chances of getting in were pretty slim. After waiting a few weeks

I got an email back saying that I got admitted into Stanislaus. This is one of my proudest

accomplishments because of how hard I worked to try to achieve this goal.
