Its time for us to take a journey to the city of Pompeii.

Pompeii is a city that was completely buried by a volcano!

Now that we have gained some background
knowledge on the city of Pompeii; you will
create a book on it.

You will need:
2 pieces of construction paper (any color)
5 sheets of notebook paper
Stapler

Directions: Take the 5 sheets of notebook paper and place them in between the construction
paper. Staple all 7 pages together on the left side (staple it in three spots, the top the middle and
the bottom). You should now have a book with a front cover, a back cover and 5 inside pages.
Make sure to title your book and you decorate the cover.

Now that you have your book made, here's what you will write about:
Imagine you were are a citizen in Pompeii and you were the ONLY person who survived. Since
you are the ONLY survivor, you do not want people to forget your land and your people. Write a
story about your land and your people. Include what Pompeii life was like. Give details about
how Pompeii looked before the eruption. Explain what a Pompeii family includes and any
traditions of the Pompeii people. Give plenty of details so that readers can imagine themselves in
Pompeii.
