Data and Evaluation Reflection

On March 9th 2017, I conducted a small collaborative One Note Class Notebook workshop with my
professional learning community. My PLC is inclusive of 8th grade English Language Arts teachers who
were invited based on interest and results from a one on one interview with my principal in February.

Both participants found that the information centered on OneNote benefits, creation of an OneNote
class notebook for one ELA section taught and uploading/creating plus distributing content to students
was beneficial to their classroom practices. An attempt to create a OneNote Class Notebook was made
prior to the workshop by one of my colleagues, however there was no follow through on completion nor
implementation.

Plans are under way to possibly implement the digital notebook created during the workshop with
additional support as well as follow up plans. While one candidate is apprehensive about
implementation due to accessibility of technology, I assured her, that collaboratively, we will be able to
work out a plan to ease her anxiety. We made plans to meet one on one to assess the school
reservation of technology calendars and discussed the benefits of OneNote being implemented
biweekly. Our school is equipped with iPad and laptop carts for first come first serve reservations. My
other colleague ask specifically for step by step instructions for students to access their accounts, usage

of content library and collaboration with peers. The step by step instructions were provided to her
within the workshop website extension resources plus a class set of copies were place in her box to
distribute to students on day of introduction.

In the future, I plan on facilitating this same workshop the week of preplanning to reach more teachers.
