Transportation Security Officer
September 2002- Present

Team Lead-Maintenance
Functioned as a multitask project manager responsible for managing the
workflow of all incoming equipment inquiries, ensuring trouble tickets were
routed to the appropriate vendor or contractor for repair, and tracking the
status on all open trouble tickets to ensure prompt return to service or
replacement as necessary. Recruited, trained and supervised staff of six.
Prioritized incoming service requests and organized work orders. Developed
and implemented quality control procedures for numerous programs under
my purview. Prepared quarterly, bi-annual, and annual Office of Inspection
reports to demonstrate 100% compliance with management directives for
federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Conducted semi-annual audits
for inventory compliance and accountability. Gathered and analyzed raw data
and compiled it into easy to understand reports for tracking progress and
performance. Managed and supervised all the logistical needs for the
opening of a new federalized airport in Provo UT. Acted as POC for internal
stakeholders, and external vendors and contractors. Worked closely with
team of Program Managers and Analysts to complete projects on or before
deadlines. Received monetary and time off rewards for Team Leadership and
Excellence in Performance for the successful roll-out of the Provo Airport.

for Leaders. Responsible for training new employees and managerial staff
using structured curriculum, a facilitative approach, and team building

Lead Transportation Security Officer
Provided outstanding customer support. Responded to customer concerns
and complaints in a calm professional manner. Managed situations the
escalated beyond officers scope of authority and offered possible solutions or
alternatives. Referred customers to appropriate resources for problem
resolution and created detailed reports for follow up as necessary. Used

Transportation Security Officer

duty positions to include Aviation Direct Access Security Program, during
which time I received a National Unsung Hero Award in Washington DC.
Worked on a team of six to create, develop and implement a covert testing
program to identify and correct weak spots in our security programs. Was
handpicked by Assistant Federal Security Director to travel to other airports
and assist in employee training and airport federalization.
