One project that I have done during my high school career that I am most proud of is to

care for my show goat this 2016-2017 school year. Doing this project has been the best and is the

best experience Ive ever had. Having to care for an animal and to create a bond with it is so

amazing! I decided to raise an animal and show at a fair becuase one of my teachers forced me,

but I am glad she did! This project has showed so many things: responsibility, time management,

and patience. This project is important to me because I think animals are such amazing little

things! These animals depend on humans to live, and I am glad to be raising my goat and that I

raised a rabbit my junior year. This project I also think is really important because it teaches me

how to properly interact with the animals, which will prepare me for my future career. I learned

so many things these past two years about these animals and I wish to learn a lot more!

I dedicate most of my time to care for my goat. Whenever I have time I would go check

on her at the school farm. By raising my goat I have to make sure she always has food and water,

that he food and water bowls are clean, and that her pin is clean. Every now and then I would

also have to train her in time for fair. There we (other classmates and myself) show them in front

of judges and we get scored for how behaved they are. At the end of the judging we get awards

and then there is an auction. The animals get auctioned off to buyers that have farms and care for

the animals. I will miss the experience next year when I'm in college but it was great while it

lasted!
