It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Allison Korchney. I have
known Allison for 5 years while working together in programs for children with autism. Allison
was my paraprofessional in my classroom where she is always offering support and sharing
ideas. Allison exhibits qualities of being a master teacher: compassionate, dependable, self-
confident, creative, supportive and resourceful.

Allison perceives students needs and readily attends to them. She exhibits tremendous skill in
building rapport with students because she shows genuine concern for their welfare. Working
with children with autism challenges physical and mental limits. Allison demonstrates patience,
determination and creativity to effectively overcome these challenges. She uses difficult
situations for the student as opportunities to teach. She allows the student to calm; then
analyzes the situation to determine alternative ways to handle similar situations in the future.
The students needs are a high priority with Allison; thus, she works diligently to meet those
needs.

Allison demonstrates creativity when implementing lesson plans. She provides a variety of
traditional and hands-on activities that engage her students. Allison effectively use of the
Smartboard technology help me in the teaching of the students. She is able to use the
Smartboard for morning calendar routine and is very animated so that students are very
involved with learning.

Allison willingly shares ideas and resources with colleagues. She eagerly solicits suggestions
and feedback from others. She is highly flexible and readily adapts when situations veer from
her intended plan. Allison demonstrates the ability to keep students engaged in a classroom
where other staff and students are involved in activities that may be distracting.

Allison is a great asset to any team. I would highly recommend Allison for any program. If you
