Limerick
A limerick is a funny poem with a set pattern of syllables and 5 lines.
Lines 1, 2, and 5 rhyme and lines 3 and 4 rhyme.

Haiku
"Haiku" is a traditional form of Japanese poetry. Haiku poems have 3
lines. The first and last lines of a Haiku have 5 syllables and the middle
line has 7 syllables. The lines rarely rhyme.

Cinquain
A cinquain poem is a verse of five lines that do not rhyme.
The syllable count for each line is: 2, 4, 6, 8, 2.

Diamante
A diamante, or diamond poem, is a 7 line poem that forms the shape
of a diamond. Diamante poems are formed with individual nouns,
adjectives, and verbs that describe two similar or different topics. They
do not rhyme.
