My name is Ross Dictado. I'm a senior in the Legal Studies Academy.

As an Academy senior, I
am required to complete a senior project and research paper. I chose to study food allergies. For
my senior project I plan on hosting a food fair at Strawbridge Elementary School.

When planning this event, I have two main goals in mind. The first being to spread awareness of
the severity of anaphylaxis via food allergies. I also intend to give families with people who
suffer from food allergies food options from local allergy friendly food vendors while also giving
said local food vendors an opportunity to advertise their local business.

In hopes to educate parents of the severity of anaphylaxis, I plan to hold a short presentation,
detailing the tell-tale symptoms of anaphylaxis as well as giving parents a more indepth look as
to what epinephrine auto-injectors are and how it alleviates the symptoms of anaphylaxis. I also
plan on ensuring that parents know that epinephrine auto-injectors should not be seen as a last
minute alternative for anaphylaxis shock. The presenter for these mini presentations will,
hopefully, be Mary Shaw, the head school nurse of Virginia Beach City Public Schools.

Participation in this event as a food vendor will entail handing out free samples of food sold at
your establishment as well as handing out business cards to promote said business. I would like
to ask _________ to be one of the many, hopefully many, food vendors participating in the food
fair.
