Leave all OEM shift selector connectors disconnected. 3. Leave OEM TCM 80-way connector disconnected. 4, Leave SAE J1939 CAN high and CAN low wires disconnected from backbone if possible, 5. Leave both 120 © termination resistors disconnected. 6. Check for high resistance or opens in SAE 411939 shift selector wires. NOTE: A properly terminated datalink (e.9., both ends terminated with 120 0 resistors) should measure 60 0 with ignition OFF, If it measures 120 0, one termination resistor is missing and could cause this code. 7. Check for high resistance or opens in SAE 441939 wires from TCM terminals 28 (CAN high), 8 (CAN low) and if equipped as pass-through TCM terminals 48 (CAN high) and 68 (CAN low), Do shift selector datalink and TCM wires for CAN high and CAN low measure less than 2 © through each wire? 2.9 or less Goto Step 9 Resolve datalink wiring issue with CAN high or CAN low wire. Go to Step 11 4. Tum ignition OFF 2. Install test TCM and torque bolt in TCM to 2.0-3.2 Nem (18-28 Ib in), 3. Start engine, 4, Using Allison DOC® For PC-Service Tool and the snapshot feature, check for active codes, 5. If codes are not active with test TCM installed, then tum ignition OFF and re-install original TCM. 6. Restart engine and check again for active DTCs. Is DTC active with the original TCM and inactive with a test TCM? Install a new TCM. Go to Step 11 after repair IFDTC is active with both test TCM and original TOM, then reinstall the original TOM.
