My Reflection in Assessment
(Nature of Portfolio Assessment)

Portfolio for me has a clear and purposeful goal for us, the teacher and also to our fellow
students. Portfolio for me also gives a profile learners ability in terms of their growth and
personal information. Portfolio assessment is also a tool for assessing a variety of skills.
Example, when my teachers asked me to do a portfolio, of course it challenged me because there
are many things to do before portfolio finish. But I have to understand my teacher about this,
because this project helps me and to know my strength and weaknesses such as showing a
written form. When I finished doing my portfolio when I was in my High School year, I was so
impressed about my work because my portfolio is properly arranged and the format was good. In
that year I know now my strength and weaknesses of course there are some errors and format
that I know it was wrong. But I learned from it.

Portfolio is an effective tool to assess each students in your class in which this kind of
project helps you to gather feedback, information, and also the strength and weaknesses about
them. When I get to the field I will document and file all the strength and weaknesses of my
students to study it and apply your personal insights on how you are going to manage the class
since you already have their background about them. And finally this portfolio also develop
social skills that each student will ask and interact each other in development and progress of
their portfolios.
