I am pleased to give my highest recommendation in support of Megan Johnson in her pursuit of


an elementary teaching position at your school. I have known Megan for 12 months as a
teacher candidate in the K-6 Elementary program at Winona State University-Rochester (WSU-
R) as her professor.

To begin, I am fully confident that Ms. Johnson is prepared to teach and excel in the education
profession. While engaging in clinical experiences at Riverside Central and Gage Elementary
Schools in Rochester, Minnesota, Megan has effectively collaborated with her peers to create
and deliver standards-based STEM and Elementary Literacy curriculum. Megans focus on
developing positive relationships with all of her students and supporting each student to reach
his or her full potential has been refreshing to observe.

Additionally, Megan regularly demonstrated her commitment to best practices such as


Culturally Responsive Pedagogy, often seeking and citing critical research within her lesson
plans, reflective journals, and class conversations focused on individual student success.

Finally, Ms. Johnson is simply a pleasure to be around. Megan has an infectiously positive
attitude and a high level of energy focused on being the best and most inclusive teacher she
can be.
