Bears Give Back
Responsible for founding this organization and enlisting football players help give back to the
community by feeding the homeless, conducting Easter egg hunts for the Boys and Girls Club,
and planning entertaining activities for underprivileged kids on weekends.
Organized over one hundred events.
Structured to serve the dual purpose of providing community service while raising funds for
Merced High Football program.
Secured donors to raise over $15,000 to fund the events.
Bears Give Back has raised $56,000 to-date for the football program.
Created Bears Give Back Scholarship to assist deserving Merced High football players
attending college after high school, and who have demonstrated academic and community
service excellence.
Turkey Giveaway
Provided four hundred turkey dinners to families in need during Thanksgiving Break. (Grades
9,10, and 11)
Wounded Warrior Softball Game
Planned and organized softball game which raised money for the Wounded Warrior
Organization.
