What I learned

I decided to upload the most helpful assignment that was required in the course which is

the interview assignment. We were assigned to interview a person who is in the career of our

interest, I decided to interview Kade Horton who is an MRI technologist. Im indecisive about

my major so when I interviewed Horton this helped me figure out that the career field isnt for

me. However, it was interesting to know his struggles and how he was ambitious. It made me

realized that I need to make sure I choose a career that Im truly happy to do, every single day.

This course has been one of the most interesting class I ever took while attending Salt

Lake Community College. Communication is the key and I cant emphasize that enough, before

taking this class I struggled communication with my peers, especially at my job. I took this class

in hopes that I will learn how to communicate my thoughts. I used to think that talking is the

only way that I can interpret my feelings. Thats not always the case, the gesture, movements,

and facial expression can also show someone how you feel. I also have speech anxiety and we

were required to present in front of the class, but professor Reiher, briefly talked about the steps

on managing my anxiety, thinking positively has helped and I was close minded when he

mentioned that practicing in front of your family or even friends helps. Thats what Ive been

doing and its been extremely beneficial because I communicate better with my co-workers and

everyone else.
