Child Development 16 Creative Art October 8, 2001 Participants: Raul Gutierrez, Juanda Holbert, Sandi Hayden Curriculum Area: Creative Art Objectives: As a result of this activity, children will: * Increase large muscle * Develop eye-hand coordination * Develop creativity and imagination + Learn to paint on different textures + Develop visual discrimination * Have fun Size of Group: 8-10 children ‘Age: 3-5 years old Materials Needed: Different kinds and sizes of paint brushes Different sizes of boxes Paint Pans for paints Newspaper Paper towels and water for clean up Making tape Procedures: Cover the floor with newspaper to prevent damage, Secure newspaper with masking tape. Place the boxes on top of the newspaper. Place the pans on each side of the boxes. Put each of colors of tempera in the pans. Have the different sizes of paint brushes next to the paint on each side of the boxes. Encourage children the use of space to develop creativity and imagination. Let the children explore the paint and the different sizes of paint brushes. Let them have fun with the activity.
