ItisapleasuretowritealetterofrecommendationforHueXiong.HueiscurrentlyinmyChild
DevelopmentclassatMercedHigh.IhaveknownhimsinceAugust2016.Asastudent,Hue
consistentlydemonstratesqualitiesthatwillenablehimtobesuccessful.Hemaintainsagoodattendance
recordheisattentiveandfollowsdirectionswell.Hecompletesallassignmentsinatimelymanner.Hue
workswellonbothindividualandgroupprojects,workingeffectivelyandcooperativelywithfellow
students.Heparticipatesinclassandexpresseshimselfwellinbothwritingandspeaking.

Huehasmaintaineda3.2GPAinupperlevel/advancedplacementcoursesthroughouthighschoolthis
placeshiminthetop30%ofhisacademicclassofnearly370students.Hehasbeenamemberofthe
GatewayScholarsprogramatMercedHighforthepasttwoyears.Thisprogramprovidesstudentswith
additionalsupportsystemsfromcollegementorstoassiststudentsinpursuingpostsecondaryeducation.
Inadditiontobeinginthisprogram,hehasbeeninvolvedinotherprograms,suchastheCounty4Hand
theMercedPoliceDepartmentExplorerProgram.HehasbeenvolunteeringwiththeExplorersforfour
years.Throughthisprogramhehasservedinvariouscommunityevents.

Hueisfocused,persistentanddeterminedtosucceed.Hisambitionandconfidenceareadditional
charactertraitsthatwillservehimwellashepursueshiscollegeeducationandfuturecareerinphysical
therapy.HeplanstomajorinkinesiologywiththeultimatecareergoalasaDoctorofPhysicalTherapy.
Hueisambitiousandconfident.Thesecharactertraitswillservehimwellashepursueshiscollege
