INTRODUCTION
1 The Distribution Box Unit provides. the facility for receiving the
Mk.10 Compass Transmission signals ‘and the 50 volt D.C, Repeater |
illumination supply from the Switch and Junction Box Unit, and distributing
these supplies to user equipment as required via eight individual groups
of terminations.
‘The Unit comprises of two internally mounted terminal blocks
contained in a splash proof metal box, which is bulkhead mounted.
DESCRIPTION
‘The box houses the main interconnecting terminal blocks, access to
which is?obtained by opening the unit door, secured by two screws.
Proviston for interconnecting cable connections is provided by flexible
cable entries located at the base of the unit. A line drawing of the
Distribution Box showing the Zocation of cable outlets with installation
dimensions is shown in Figure 1,
BIEGTRICAL DESCRIPTION -
4, ‘The electrical ciroult for the Distribution Box 4g shown in
Figure 2, The two 20-way terminal blocks TBI and 72 housed
within the uit provide eight individual groups of terminations-nunbered
from 1 to 8. In each group of terminals 1 and 2 carry, the 50 yplt D.C:
supply for jllunination circuits, while terminals 3, 4 and § carry Compass
Transnission signals, these groups are distributed to useyhequipnent as set
out in the following table: as
