Finger Independence Exercises

1. These exercises are designed to help you learn about wrist/arm positioning, preparation of ngers, resting ngers
on non - vibrating strings, and lifting ngers without releasing their shape. The video lesson which accompanies
these exercises is at my youtube page - https://www.youtube.com/user/classicalguitartv

2. Although all the examples are on strings 6 and 3, you can put these exercises on any other strings to make them easier
or more dicult (see video for details).

3. You should lift the ngers which are not being used, but be careful not to release the shape.

4. You should also "rest" your ngers on any adjacent non - vibrating strings. You will not be playing on the "tips"
of the ngers unless you need the adjacent strings to vibrate (e.g. strings 4 and 3).

5. It is advised to play the rst 3 examples before attempting the shifting exercises.
