This article is all about the importance of training teachers.

A teacher needs to

have experience to become a qualified teacher; one needs to have pre-service university

education, in-service professional development, and informal training which is acquired

on the job through experience. To measure teacher improvement there are few things to

look at. One of those things being student achievement, but there are multiple factors that

go into student achievement other than just simply how good the teacher is. A student can

not be as successful in the classroom due to classroom peers, problems at home, etc.

In addition to experience, the other frequently used measurement of teacher

training is the attainment of graduate degrees. Research shows that teachers with post-

baccalaureate degrees are better than those who do not. Also, whether or not a teacher

possesses a masters degree is important. Although the pre-service education and training

is important, studies have shown that there is not much positive correlation between the

teachers major choice and productivity. Overall, to become a qualified teacher,

experience and further studying is the most beneficial way to go, according to studies and

research.
