he bright hue of Hugger orange
is certainly a difficult colour
not to spot, especially when
it's wrapped around the racy and
pleasing curves of a 1969 Chevrolet
Camaro.
It's also not hard to see the attach-
ment Ladner's Greg Dick has for
the car that he has had since he was
16 and now proudly displays at car
shows such as the upcoming Quilt
Walk and Classic Car Show Aug. 15
in Ladner Village.
"I've always loved

vice after graduating from UVIC with
a major in psychology.
"I thought to myself, do I want to
do my masters in it (psychology), and
where do I want to go with this," she
says. "The interest for me is more in
building relationships with people.

and sustainable community on the Southlands property,"

the application of "agricultural urbanism" in B.C.
Kwantlen accepted a $50,000 research fee from
Century Group, which wants to build 1,900 housing
units on one third of the Southlands, and dedicate the
rest to urban agriculture and public amenities.

“With any research, the organization has a responsi-
bility to divulge their funding sources so that the public
may form their own opinions of any potential bias in

expectations attached to the MOU.
He added the results of the review will be made
available to Kwantlen's Board of Governors and to
the public.

Why is it that the words excitement and spontaneity
always seem to follow “if”, “when” or “as soon as”?

Islanders face elimination
The Delta Islanders Jr. A lacrosse
team is facing elimination from the
playoffs after dropping a second game
10-7 to the Coquitlam Adanacs Tues-
day night (July 20) at Ladner Arena.
The Islanders got off to a promising
start in the first period with a flurry,
scoring six times with Mike Mallory
and Logan Schuss racking up a pair
each, while Scott Jones and Nathan
Clare added singles.
Coquitlam replied with a pair of their
own, including a last second marker
from Wesley Berg.
Berg then opened the scoring in the
second period for the Adanacs who
shut the Islanders out in the middle
frame which saw Coquitlam turn the
red light on six times.
In the third period Coquitlam sealed
the win with another two goals while
Delta’s Schuss completed his hat trick
midway through the final 20 minutes.
The Adanacs lead the B.C.Junior A
semi final, best of five series two games
to none and could sweep if they win
Friday night’s (July 23) encounter at
the Coquitlam Sports Arena. Game
time in Coquitlam is 8 p.m.
Delta lost game one 6-5 on July 18.
If the Islanders bounce back Friday,
game four is scheduled for Ladner
Arena on Saturday (July 24). Game
time for that is set for 7:30 p.m.
