Battery Replacement:
1. Push the small button at the battery door to open the battery compartment.
2. Change the batteries.
3. A 9 Volt Alkaline battery is recommended for best performance but in this
experiment we use 4 AA Alkaline batteries.
Operation:
1. Set up the tripod stand.
2. Switch on the SLM by pressing ON/OFF/ESC button and attach the SLM to the
tripod stand. At any time, other than initial turn-on, if the LOBAT indicator is
displayed, the user must replace the battery. (Refer battery replacement.)
3. Skip the calibration step.
4. Select VIEW SESSION and select F (FAST).
5. Start recording by pressing the RUN/PAUSE button.
6. After getting the reading for 1 hour, once again press the RUN/PAUSE.
7. To save the data recorded, press the STOP button and hold it for 3 seconds.
8. Press the ESC button and it will redirect to the main menu.
9. Repeat step 4 to 7 if you want to save new set of data.
10.Turn off the SLM by pressing ON/OFF/ESC button and hold it for few seconds.

Quest NoisePro DLX Noise Dosimeter

Battery Replacement:
1. Open the battery compartment at the side of the dosimeter.
2. Change the batteries. (Only require 2 AA Alkaline batteries).
Operation:
1. Connect the microphone to the dosimeter.
2. Attach the dosimeter with microphone on the body of the student.
3. Switch on the dosimeter by pressing ON/OFF/ESC button. At any time, other
than initial turn-on, if the LOBAT indicator is displayed, the user must replace
the battery. (Refer battery replacement)
4. Skip the calibration step.
5. Adjust the distance of the dosimeter and the noise source to 1 metre.
6. Select VIEW SESSION and select F (FAST).
7. Start recording by pressing the RUN/PAUSE button.
8. After getting the reading for 2 minutes, once again press the RUN/PAUSE.
9. Press ON/OFF/ESC button and it will redirect to the main menu.
10.Select CLOSE SESSION and hold it for few seconds to save the data.
11.Press the ESC button and it will redirect to the main menu.
12.Repeat step 6 to 10 by adjusting the distance to 2 metre and 3 metre.
13.Turn off the dosimeter by pressing ON/OFF/ESC button and hold it for few
seconds.
