To whom it may concern:

I have had the pleasure of knowing Lizette Montero for four years. Lizette has expressed interest that she
wishes to continue her education by attending a four year college and I am happy to advocate her desirable
qualities on her behalf.

Lizette is a natural leader in the classroom; others listen to what she has to share. I can always rely on Lizette to
volunteer in order to get the discussion flowing. Not only are her leadership skills present inside the classroom,
but outside the classroom as a student-athlete. She has participated in volleyball and soccer throughout her four
years as a Merced Bear. Also, Lizette is very reliable; she attends class regularly and comes to class prepared
with all her materials. Her reliability has opened opportunities for her to participate in FFA and AVID courses.
Furthermore, Lizette has initiative; she is not afraid of asking questions and she seeks out opportunities in order
to become successful inside the classroom and out. Lizettes success has allowed her to become a CSF
member for two years and part of an on-campus student mentoring program known as Link Crew which assists
the freshmen with becoming acclimated to high school life.

I believe qualities such as leadership, reliability, and initiative translates well into real world situations. Lizette will
not only succeed at a four year institution, but she will contribute to the campus as well.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if further information is needed.

Respectfully,
