Acknowledgment that everyone deserves to be respected

Respect is said to be the glue that holds together all kinds of relationships.
Every individual must be treated with respect due him or her. When people respect
one another, we can expect that it will bear fruits of peace and understanding. And
so when the rights of others are acknowledged and efforts are done to protect
them, they feel respected.

these victims to speak out so that their rights can be protected
Its human instinct that tells a person to do something or not do something
for self-preservation. We try so much as not to lose our dignity, self-respect,
integrity and to a greater extent, our pride. When our lives become a glass house
where people can see whats happening on the inside, we are prone to criticisms.
That is why it will be a difficult task to convince a man who is a victim of domestic
abuse to tell the world that his wife beats him up since there is stigma attached to
it. Similarly, it will be a tough job to ask a homosexual to testify about his
experiences on being discriminated. Constant encouragement and support will be
the key to overcome this obstacle.
