‘As igh school English teacher myself for eleven years and later a high stool prinspa, | know how
important is for good, effective teachers to embrace ther own subject mater with pasion and gusto,
and Kase possesses exactly these traits. Unlike some pre-service teachers wo tend to limit the
significance oftheir subject matter to lesson plans this young Woman engages wit the issues in all her
studies, works hard fo understand and analyze concepts in her social studies discipline, and appreciates
the significance, creativity, and history of English language and compostion/heteric, She seem to
understand that to teach wel, one must continually have a disposition of inquiry. I can think of m0
stronger approach in the classroom, and this FSU honors student wil carey ito her high school stdens
Beyond the classroom, Kacie i extraordinarily activ, both at Feri and in her communities. She has
Tong been a leader in several campus student organizations. Ihave observed her this past year as she
helped start one ofthe newest campus student organizations, the Ferris State English Society, now
offically recognized by Feiss an RSO. One has only to peruse her resume to see that this fsa young
