2017 FRESHMAN GOLD SCHOLARSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS This scholarship award is $5,000 per academic year for up to four consecutive years, for a total of $20,000. Funds for this award will only be paid to the student's account in the fall and winter semesters, beginning in fall 2017 and continuing through winter 2021. Ifyou earn a bachelor's degree in fewer than four years, your scholarship terminates at that time. Funds will be applied to your student account balance according to the set financial aid disbursement schedule. You are responsible for any remaining account balance. To retain this scholarship, you must: ‘* Enroll full ime in each of the fall and winter semesters © Pass a minimum of 30 credits per academic year ‘+ Maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 Honors College Students who are eligible for consideration of membership in the Honors College will be notified beginning in December. Select students will be invited to compete for additional awards (or scholarship funding) through participation in Scholars events with the Honors College. Need-based financial aid If you are receiving need-based aid, this scholarship may reduce your eligibility for Wayne State Promise and Wayne State Access awards, student loans or other aid. You can apply for need- based aid at fafsa.gov using WSU code 002329. Other scholarship offers Wayne State University students can receive only one of the following merit scholarships: Anthony Wayne, Athletic Excellence, Detroit Leadership Award, Gold, Green, President's, Wade McCree, Warrior, and Wayne Med Direct. The sum of all institutional aid cannot exceed the financial aid cost of attendance.
