Dear Search Committee,

I am writing to express my interest for Nurse Manager at Spartan General

Hospital (Job # 78910). I recognize that Spartan General Hospital will grant
me exceptional support and impetus needed to thrive in todays challenging
world of healthcare.

With my academic success at the University of Colorado Denver College of

Nursing, BS in biology from Arizona State University with government
research experience and development as a nurse in oncology, cardiothoracic
surgical intensive care, Transplant Center at Duke University Hospital, and
administrative coordinator at Moses Cone Health System, I bring knowledge
and astuteness needed to be a successful Nurse Manager. During my time as
an administrative coordinator I was responsible for supervision of staff, crisis
diversion, risk management, and policy and procedure oversight. Likewise,
Ive completed a Legal Nurse Consulting continuing education class at Duke
spanning several weeks that detailed compliance practice procedures and
accepted standards of care to regulation and accreditation criteria within
parameters of Federal and State laws, and hospital guidelines. In addition,
Ive spent invaluable time in clinical practicums during graduate school with
various hospital leadership at Duke entities and with the Durham VA.

Moreover, as a previous employee and member of Dukes Bio/Medical

Hospital wide ethics committee, I am familiar with a large institutions
policies, philosophies, procedures, and ethical challenges that face
healthcare. Time on the committee was spent reviving old policies and
drafting new policies to be in line with the hospitals vision and mission
statement.

In order to build on my existing foundation of nurse education and

experience, I am presently pursuing my master of science in Nurse
Administration at the University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG).
Furthermore, my future interests lie in patient safety and quality with the
objective of analyzing trends to improve patient outcomes and streamline
hospital practices.
