This lesson was about the circulatory system. This lesson helped the students in extending their
knowledge and gaining new vocabularies about Science. They learned the organs that make this
system, the functions of the system and the kind of blood that works in this system. This lesson is
about the circulatory system, lesson 1 in unit 5 which is the structure and function. The general
goal of the lesson is that students will be able to understand what is the circulatory system. The
specific goal if the lesson is that students will be able to identify the meaning of the circulatory
system. Students will be able to describe the organs of the circulatory system organs. And
students will be able to identify the function of each blood vessel types (arteries, capillaries, and
the veins).
I start the lesson by calling their prior knowledge by using the PowerPoint and memorizing the
previous lesson information. Then, I complete the engagement stage by distributing worksheets
for each level that related to the previous lesson about cells, organs, tissues and system. This
stage work in a very useful way because I prepared the students very well to the lesson and
helped in attracting them to the concept of the lesson. Then, I explained the explore and the
explain stage together because I apply an experiment to introduce the circulatory system lesson.
This experiment takes them to explore that organ that makes this circulatory system and discover
the process of how these organs work together. After exploring the organs that by the
experiments, I used a PowerPoint to explain the process and the function of the circulatory
system and each organ in the circulatory system. I think that each Science lesson should include
an experiment to arrive the information of the lesson in a good way. Also, letting the students
discover by applying something will break the routine. They were excited and enjoyed this part
from the lesson in an extended way. Then, the elaborating stage, I teach them and about the best
type of blood and which one of them in better and how they can keep their blood healthy. Then,
in the evaluation stage, I distribute a quiz that about the lesson for the students. The quiz show
me that I did a good job and I cover all the important points of the lesson and this is the
