PERSONAL STATEMENT

Im a student at U of A Little Rock pursuing my BA in Mathematics and a STEM focused minor in

Secondary Education. As I progress in my program I am becoming less of a student and more of a pre-
service teacher due to the in the field experience. I find myself enjoy tutoring a variety of people from
Middle School students to fellow college classmates. I am obtaining my degree so that I may someday
help students overcome their math anxieties/shortcomings and build up their confidence in Mathematics
as well as make math worthwhile, meaningful, and fun.
