Fruit importer Chiquita Brands International knowingly provided material support to a terrorist organization by paying protection money and
providing weapons to a Colombian rebel group, a lawsuit filed in a Florida court this week alleges. Three US citizens who survived a five-year
hostage ordeal at the hands of Colombias notorious FARC paramilitary group, along with the family of a fourth man who was killed by FARC
rebels, say Chiquita owes them damages because it paid hundreds of thousands of dollars to FARC for a decade beginning in 1989.
And
In March 2017, over 200 relatives of people killed by the AUC filed a class action complaint in Florida against Chiquita executives alleging that
they made payments to the AUC and allowed the AUC to use Chiquitas private shipping ports to move arms and drugs, therefore, intending to
benefit from the AUCs systematic killings of civilians to prevent work stoppages on banana plantations.

Chiquitas sensitive payments continued for two years after the AUC was officially labeled a foreign terrorist organization by the State
Department in 2001 and for another 10 months after the company entered into talks with the Justice Department, the same time it claims to have
become aware of the designation. (Of the $1.7 million total the company reportedly paid to the AUC, $300,000 was sent following the start of
negotiations with the Justice Department.)
Per the Tobacco Atlas:

Tobacco harms the health, the treasury, and the spirit of Colombia. Every year more than 26600 of it's people are killed by tobacco-caused
disease, while more than 218000 children and more than 3948000 adults continue to use tobacco each day.
Per Schaffer Library of Drug Policy:

The number of drug deaths in the US in a typical year is as follows:

Per Science in the News, a blog by Harvard (Article written by Jordan Wilkerson with figures by Brian Chow)
http://sitn.hms.harvard.edu/flash/2015/roundup-ready-crops/
Round-up is a patent trademark of Glyphosate. It kills all plants by preventing them from making protein. Once it is used, it stays up to 3 to 5
years. Monsanto used genetic modification technology to take the gene from a glyphosate resistant bacteria called Agrobacteria and add the gene
to normal soybean. They also patented their genetically modified crop. This means it is illegal for any farmers to keep GM crops and plant them.
Making an analysis, the total number of people killed by tobacco in Columbia is incomparably greater than people killed by cocaine or any type of
illegal drug combined. If killing about 2000 people per day grant the American government to poison another countrys fields, the Columbian
government would have the right to poison the entire United States. I am not advocating for killing and starving the American people; I am
pointing out how cultural hegemony make ludicrously evil policies.
The real problem of FARC and similar paramilitary and terrorist groups is Chiquita, which supplies drug and arms for terrorist groups. In return,
the terrorists (and sometimes dictators) systematically force inhumane working conditions and massacre the resistance of the workers. This issue
is never seriously treated. In many States, terrorism, federal murder, large-scale drug trafficking, and attempting to kill a witness, can be punished
by capital punishment. For the scale of all these crimes done by Chiquita, those who are making decisions within the corporation are surprisingly
not executed.
The American Government and the Colombian Government are motivated not by humanitarianism or protecting people from terror. This is their
true motivation:
They forcefully poison the fields with round-up. This means the local farmers must go in debt to buy genetically modified crops to have any
harvests and local farmers simply are not rich enough to wait for five years. Therefore, the local agriculture is dependent on Monsanto, an
American corporation. The farmers will go further and further in debt. Eventually, Monsanto will go to them and take their land.
In conclusion, American War on Terror/Drugs are just to euphonise a rogue state plundering other countries for the benefits of robber
barons.
This is not an outlandish conspiracy theory. Economist Edward Herman found the same correlation between US military aid and state terror
worldwide, but also carried out another study that gave a plausible explanation. US aid, he found, correlated closely with improvement in the
climate for business operations, as one would expect.
Per the worlds most-cited intellectual alive, Professor Noam Chomsky:
Just to give you an example of what a joke the drug war is: in the mid-1980s, Colombia requested
from the Reagan administration technical aid for a radar station to detect low-flying planes that were
coming in from the Andean region, bringing in coca leaves, which were then processed. The Reagan
administration agreed, and they built a radar station, but they built it on the part of Colombian territory

that is as remote as possible from the drug routes. Namely, they built it out on an island, called
San Andres, which happens to be off the coast of Nicaragua. If you think about the map, thats the
opposite place from where the drug flights are coming. But it was very useful for surveillance of
Nicaragua, and for sending terrorist forces to destroy health clinics and so forth. So thats the
way they fought the drug war. And it just works across the board. Its an absolute farce, except that its
serving its purpose. Its purpose in this country is to criminalize Blacks and other marginalized
groups, to treat them like a population under military occupation, to lock them up, in effect
without constitutional rights, and race and class are closely enough correlated in the
United States, so that this is also part of the class war.
Cultural Hegemony makes us think that the West is preventing the academic of drugs and defending people from terrorism. In fact, the
west is abhorrent of the death toll of tobacco domestically or internationally and its corporate sector is funding terror while the state is
turning a blind eye. The power which the hegemony serves are global hegemonic powers and global neo liberal capitalists, which will be further
explained in other articles.
Resolved: Cultural Hegemony is the tool of manufacturing consent of citizens to give their government and corporations to produce evil.
